JP Dalal, Minister of Agriculture of Haryana, honored Organic Kitchen at “Jai Kisan” event

JP Dalal, Minister of Agriculture of Haryana, paid tribute to Organic Kitchen during the “Jai Kisan” event, organized by MH 1 prime news. Monika Dhaka, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Organic Kitchen, has been recognized for her contributions to organic farming and for helping farmers increase their income.

Monika has always had a keen interest in nature and agriculture. Thanking her stepfather who educated her on organic farming, she began her journey towards it. She used to visit her family’s farms where she witnessed the poor condition of the soil and the excessive use of chemicals and pesticides that lead to chronic diseases like cancer in consumers.

Dhaka has observed an increase in the demand for organic food products despite the fact that India lacks many facilities for organic farming. This is what planted the concept of an organic kitchen in his mind. She recognized the gaps in the organic food supply chain and tried to standardize methods to ensure a continuous supply.

Organic Kitchen was started with a vision to create a society driven by the vehicle of trust and authenticity, a society where people can easily trust and trace the entire “farm to kitchen journey” of organic food.

Dhaka encourages people to consume chemical-free organic food while supporting Indian farmers by providing a platform to market their organic products.

Commenting on the same, Monika Dhaka said, “The best way for a farmer to double his income is through organic farming. The horticulture department is also constantly informing us about upcoming technologies that can be beneficial for organic farming.”

Organic Kitchen has launched an app where farmers can create their own profiles and to date over 2000 farmers are selling their products directly to Organic Kitchen at the right price. Organic Kitchen as a brand helps these farmers obtain organic land certifications which help them prove the authenticity of their organic products.

Gurugram-based Organic Kitchen started operations on January 1, 2022. It is the brainchild of Monika Dhaka (CEO and Co-Founder), Krishnank Atrey (Executive Director and Co-Founder), Nikhil Hooda (COO and Co-Founder) . ; Co-Founder), and Sparsh Verma (Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder). The company has focused on a robust business model that allows customers to track their entire food journey, from harvest to when food enters their kitchen.
